Insect Models   I have made model anthropods ranging in size from only a few centimetres to 11 foot in length in assorted types. Most of them have been around 18" in length, allowing them to be placed alongside the real specimens for illustrative purposes. As a general price guide the ones I have done for clients, who include Austrian Natural History Museum in Vienna and The University of Oxford Natural History Museum cost around £350 each. As museum displays and teaching aids , these models have to be detailed down to the minutest hair and the detailed relief and texture veination of the wings. I have also been called upon to produce earwigs, woodlice and spiders over 11' in length and even lifesize prehistoric anthropods only a centimetre across.
